The Pharmaceutical Journal: PGx Testing Pilot to Start from June 2023

The pilot will test patients at several NHS GP practices when they start a new statin, certain antidepressants or proton pump inhibitors to ensure they are on the right medication and not at risk of side effects.

According to Vicky Chaplin, pharmacy genomics lead at NHS England, the long-term vision is for the pilot results and related guidance to become part of clinical decision support systems
