Medicines Included
All the medicines included in your report carry full ‘actionable’ advice from the Dutch Pharmacogenetics Working Group (DPWG).
This means your doctor can rely on good quality information to help guide your prescription choice. This may reduce the trial-and-error process to get you on the right medicine as soon as possible.
You can download the list of medicines currently included in the Mantara® PGx DNA Test here.
This list is likely to grow very quickly over the coming months and years, so please contact us if your medication is not currently included and we will be able to let you know if it may be possible to include in the future.
Genes Tested
There are many genes that are important to determine how your body is likely to process a particular medication. These genes may affect how your body processes a drug (pharmacokinetics) or how your body responds to a drug (pharmacodynamics). Knowledge of your genetic makeup helps determine whether you should avoid a medicine altogether or take a smaller or larger dose within the approved prescribing guidelines.
Our PGx panel test shows results for 12 genes, which enables us to provide comprehensive reports.
